Feb 24, 2006 · Drag racing lost Tom Baum on October 27th. He raced every kind of dragster, (including Top Fuelers), in a career which spanned almost four decades. He was best known for his long line of Top Alcohol Dragsters, all raced under the name " Xecutioner " and all built with his own hands in his one-car garage in Des Plaines, Illinois.
Feb 12, 2010 · Going back three to four years, we also lost nitro stalwarts Chuck Kurzawa, Dick Custy, Billy Holt, Romund, Jim McClennan, and Tom McCourry. It's very tough to see your heroes dropping one by one.
Tom was a neat guy a decicated racer and always fun to be around. The "Bomber" was known for his blown Alky dragster the "Xecutioner" Tom was one of the last grass roots low buck racers. Much like the late Cid Sealy "The Moline Mad Man"
