Jun 1, 2022 · Lots of places to pull off the road to enjoy the lake. Some larger parking lots with boat ramps as well. Great for kayaking, tubing, swimming with the kids or dogs. Generally the lake is pretty warm on the surface, not freezing cold like the Sacramento River. About 20 min from Redding.
