  4. Melinda McGraw (who played her) felt her character was held to a different standard than the men and I absolutely agree with that. Characters like Duck who kept popping up relentlessly were credited with being interesting even after they said and did far worse things.

  6. Agreed. Melinda McGraw was asked about the reaction to her character and one of the things she mentioned was the double standards of the audience. Bobbie’s most vulgar, brazen remark is nothing compared to any number of the things Sterling has said. Maybe Bobbie, apart from Don, would’ve been more palatable to viewers.
