Feb 19, 2022 · A recent study evaluated the efficacy of four treatments (5% imiquimod cream, methyl aminolevulinate PDT [MAL-PDT], 5% 5-FU cream, and 0.015% ingenol mebutate gel [IGM]) for AK located on the head and neck. Results showed that 5% 5-FU cream was the most effective among the field-directed treatments.
