Timmins is a very good skater. He has a strong first step, and accelerates smoothly and quickly. His top end speed is good in both directions, and solid edge work and pivots allow him to cover a lot of ice. Timmins has good lateral agility, allowing him to walk the line, and open up passing lanes and shooting lanes in the offensive zone. He is also...

Timmins has the stick handling ability to beat forecheckers and move the puck quickly up the ice. He is comfortable both leading the rush and joining in as a trailer. His skating skill allows him to do this, as well as pinch in at the blue line, and still get back defensively. Timmins is an outstanding play maker. He is very smart, seeing plays dev...

  4. Apr 23, 2017 · Conor Timmins was not on many scouts' radar coming into the season. However, he has really broken out with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds.

  5. Scouting Report. Has some offensive flair to go along with a solid defensive foundation. Skates well and has produced points at the junior and AHL levels. Injuries, including a severe concussion, have been a problem so he will have to get stronger to make the most of his tools at the NHL level. Still has room to expand his game.

  6. Nov 24, 2022 · Here was my scouting report at the time (January 2021): I’m a big believer in Timmins as a full-time NHLer and his opportunity with the Avalanche to start the season is well-earned.
