The Fur language (or For; Fur: bèle fòòr or fòòraŋ bèle; Arabic: فوراوي, Fûrâwî; sometimes called Konjara by linguists, after a former ruling clan) is a Nilo-Saharan language spoken by the Fur of Darfur in Western Sudan and Chad.
The Fur or For languages constitute a small, closely related family, which is a proposed member of the Nilo-Saharan family. Its members are: Fur in western Sudan and eastern Chad with around 745,600 speakers in 2004. Amdang (also called Mimi) in eastern Chad with around 41,100 speakers in 2000.

Fur languages, two closely related languages that form part of the Nilo-Saharan language family. Fur proper is spoken mainly in western Sudan and adjacent parts of Chad. The closely related Amdang language is spoken by the Amdang, primarily of Chad, who are also called Biltine, or Mimi; the latter.

There are about 744,000 speakers of Fur mainly in the states of North Darfur, South Darfur and West Darfur in southwestern Sudan, and also in the east of Sudan. There are also about 1,800 Fur speakers in the Sila region of southeastern Chad.
