The famous Gulf “ice box” design dates back to late 1930’s and there were probably more of these built than any single one of the later Gulf designs.

It’s original logo colours were red and green before a change to orange and blue after its purchase by Gulf in the mid-1960’s. After a few transitional years of Gulf colours on BA signage, all the stations were switched over to Gulf branding.
