Yes it is. They’re just saying that because Bama is usually stereotyped as being some backwoods incest state. That really goes for the entire south too. Southern schools have great programs in different areas but they don’t get the credit they deserve
I'm not really going to comment on the story because I don't know all the sides. I did, however, start my career teaching Business Ethics when I was 24 or 25ish at The Culverhouse College of Business at The University of Alabama. I did not know the namesake family, but I did highly respect the university administrators at U of A.
