   Is Trainspotting a good movie?

   • A few people asked questions about Trainspotting, which seemed to be a crowd favorite, so I thought it would be brilliant. It's IMDB score of 8.2 seemed to distinguish it as well. To me, it just didn't seem as polished as some of his other films. Not to mention, some of the characters, Begbie in particular, were a struggle to even understand.

   Is Trainspotting still relevant today?

   • Living in the UK in the nineties, Trainspotting really captured a cultural vibe of the times. It was always being referenced, everyone loved the soundtrack, a few of the actors became bigger stars. Seeing it now it seems a bit rough around the edges, but the soul is intact and still counts. The soundtrack literally educated me in music.

   Where can I watch Trainspotting?

   • Rent Trainspotting on Fandango at Home, Prime Video, or buy it on Fandango at Home, Prime Video. A brutal, often times funny, other times terrifying portrayal of drug addiction in Edinburgh. Not for the faint of heart, but well worth viewing as a realistic and entertaining reminder of the horrors of drug use.

   A film was made for three of them but IMHO I wouldn't have selected two of them, The Grantam Star Cause is the best one by far and is well worth a watch so long as you don't mind bleaching your mind afterwards.

   I just finished watching it after re-watching Trainspotting for the millionth time and I'm literally in tears right now, what a perfect sequel! it expands on all of the themes from the original with updated cinematography, and to wait so long to do the story correctly and with such joy.

   I love Trainspotting but I’m an even bigger fan of Shallow Grave, Boyle and McGregor’s first movie together. (Actually the first film for both of them) If you haven’t watched Shallow Grave, I highly recommend it.
