In television, she is known for her starring roles on Freaks and Geeks (1999–2000), ER (2003–2009) and Bloodline (2015–2017), as well as her portrayal of Judy Hale on Netflix 's Dead to Me (2019–2022), for which she earned a nomination for the 2020 Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.
