Public Records. The Clerk of Superior Court is the custodian for many court records in Mecklenburg County. Many court records can be viewed online from the Mecklenburg County Courts website. For online court records, the information includes the offender’s name, DOB, charges, timeline of court appearances, attorneys, and upcoming court hearings.

Portal is an eCourts information system where public records can be accessed online. Court records may be searched by record number or the full name of a party involved in the case (i.e. plaintiff, defendant, attorney, etc). Records filed before October 9, 2023 may need to be requested from the Clerk Division.
Weddings will be conducted by appointment only Monday through Friday, from 2:00 until 4:30 p.m. at the Mecklenburg County Courthouse. Appointments must be made online by clicking here to confirm. The Mecklenburg County Clerk of Superior Court Office is open to the public between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
