- Moriarty is a kind of Robin Hood character except instead of stealing from the rich and giving to the poor, he helps the poor murder the rich; often in ever more increasingly elaborate ways. It tries to tackle some interesting moral questions, but in my opinion doesn't delve very deep into them and thus is kind of shallow.

MORIARTY THE PATRIOT (憂国のモリアーティ, YŪKOKU NO MORIĀTI) is a Japanese manga series written by Ryosuke Takeuchi and Hikaru Miyoshi, who is also the illustrator. The manga began in August 2016 and Part 1 concluded in December 2022, consisting of 19 volumes.
A twist on Conan Doyle‘s original Sherlock Holmes series, Moriarty the Patriot follows a man going by the name William James Moriarty and how his ideals of justice take him to become a criminal mastermind.
