In 1965 Philadelphia, Del (Donovan Leitch) is enthralled by a television dance show and decides to try to sneak onto the set and steal a little air time. The show's producer and host, Perry Parker (Joe Pantoliano) spots Del and, instead of ejecting him, pairs him with Vicky (Jennifer Runyon), the most popular girl dancer.
