Jul 1, 2012 · I would say his record and his contemporaries would rate him as a 'good' general. Getting into a discussion about ' how good a corps commander' was he, is another cup of cappuccino. My own opinion of him as a corps commander is that he was good but would have become better if not for his early demise.
