Actor. Years active. 1979–. Zoltán Mucsi (born 8 September 1957 in Abony) is a Hungarian actor. He has appeared in more than sixty films since his debut in 1983. Zoltán Mucsi was born in Abony, and in his childhood, he originally wanted to be a footballer. In 1979 he joined to the Szigligeti Theatre in Szolnok as assistant actor.
Abony is a town in the south-east of Pest County, between the Danube and Tisza rivers. It is 16 km (10 mi) from Cegléd and 85 km (53 mi) from Budapest, at an elevation of 90 to 100 m (300 to 330 ft). The area is on the River Tisza's wide floodplain which approximates 13,000 hectares (32,000 acres). Its rich black soil contains some sand.

ABONY, town in Pest-Pilis-Solt-Kiskun county, Hungary, located southeast of Budapest. One Jew settled there in 1745; the census of 1767 mentions eight Jews. The Jewish population ranged from 233 in 1784 to 431 in 1930, reaching a peak of 912 in 1840. The Jewish community was organized in 1771 concurrently with the organization of a Chevra Kadisha.
As a young man, Kertész often photographed rural and small-town life in Hungary. Abony is an agricultural town about 50 miles outside Budapest. This violinist, André Kertész remembered, was “a blind musician not a gypsy, who wandered from village to village with his boy.”
