That’s no bad thing, though: Shonen Knife’s mainstay Naoko Yamano has irrepressibly irresistable pop punk metal riffs and bouncily absurd lyrics coursing through her veins and delivers another great set of madcap, cross-cultural, super-catchy bubblegum riff n’ rollers n Adventure.

Mar 14, 2016 · If you’re someone who fits the ever-growing demographic of punk-turned-parent, Adventure might be the album you and your youngster could get down with over some Capri Suns and Legos. And if you’re a Shonen Knife purist, Adventure is probably best left at the end of the catalog.
All of these influences and more are in evidence on new album Adventure. It may tread familiar territory but that’s fine – this far into the game, they’re hardly going to deliver their jazz odyssey.
