How do you go about continuing the legacy of one of the most important film franchises in recent history? That's the conundrum French composer Alexandre Desplat found himself answering in 2010 when he became the Harry Potter series' fourth main composer, with the added pressure of one of them being the great John Williams.

Desplat brings immeasurable experience and talent to the Harry Potter franchise, following in the footsteps of composers John Williams, Patrick Doyle and Nicholas Hooper.
