The Missouri Botanical Garden is a botanical garden located at 4344 Shaw Boulevard in St. Louis, Missouri. It is also known informally as Shaw's Garden for founder and philanthropist Henry Shaw. Its herbarium, with more than 6.6 million specimens, [3] is the second largest in North America, behind that of the New York Botanical Garden.
The scientific heart of the Garden for more than a century before closing to the public in 1982, Henry Shaw's original museum has reopened following a painstaking restoration and offers a unique opportunity to view rarely seen art, artifacts, and more collected over the last 160 years.

Sep 19, 2022 · Tower Grove House, the original country home of our founder Henry Shaw, is located in the Lichtenstein Victorian District of the southeast corner of the Missouri Botanical Garden. Tower Grove House is open to visitors seasonally Wednesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
