Andrea Maffei was graduated in architecture in Florence in 1994 with honors and, after some initial experience with the office of Massimo Carmassi in Pisa, in 1997 he moved to Tokyo to work in the atelier of Arata Isozaki.

In 2005 he opened his own architectural firm Andrea Maffei Architects in the heart of Milan, in the beautiful Brera district. Milan is holding his name too with the skyscraper Allianz, designed together with his mentor Isozaki.
