The Roosevelt Island Tramway runs every 15 minutes. During peak times, Monday through Friday between 7 am and 10 am and between 3 pm and 8 pm, there is a cable car every 7 minutes. The hours of operation are as follows: Sunday through Thursday: 6 AM – 2 AM. Friday and Saturday: 6 AM – 3:30 AM.
The cable car runs parallel to the Queensboro Bridge and you get some great views of the East River and the Bridge as you soar over. You can use your metrocard or credit/debit card to pay for your journey and you pay for each journey.
