I loved this series until Ballistic Kiss. Kadrey put so much focus on Janet ... without actually putting any work into making them multidimensional. They were flat and it annoyed me so greatly that I still haven't read King Bullet.
He has always had PTSD, and his behavior had pretty obvious signs Kadrey was writing it that way on purpose. The difference is now he's on meds for it.
