    The Calaveras Big Trees Association operates the bookstore inside the visitor center. The bookstore has many unique and one of a kind items for all members of the family. Come browse our large selection of books, t-shirts, puzzles, and more. The bookstore is open the same hours as the visitor center so come on in and take a look.

  4. May 13, 2024 · It’s undoubtedly one of the best California state parks for camping. Calaveras Big Trees houses two main developed campgrounds—the North Grove and Oak Hollow Campgrounds—with a total of 129 campsites that make for an unparalleled camping adventure amongst the giant sequoias.

  5. As the winter snow begins to fall, and a winter wonderland appears, new ways to experience the park begin. The Parkway to the South Grove will close for the season around mid-November and remain closed until late April, but the North Grove area remains accessible.
