  4. Up for sale are a pair of Gibson pickups with a few different names. They are labeled "The Original" HB-R (neck pickup) and HB-L (bridge pickup), but they often get referred to as Bill Lawrence Circuit Board pickups. These were found in Gibson guitars from late 1988 - early 1990.

  7. Aug 4, 2015 · Can anyone explain the difference in sound/tone between the BL circuit board pickups and the PAFs? The HB-L came in two versions (around 9k or around 13k)and PAF´s are around 7-8, so the Lawrence pup is a bit "hotter". It´s not easy to describe "tone" but they are different species.
