Feb 16, 2023 · Home. Cancer Types. Bladder Cancer Symptoms. The symptoms of bladder cancer can vary from person to person. The most common symptom is blood in the urine, called hematuria. It’s often slightly rusty to bright red in color. You may see blood in your urine at one point, then not see it again for a while.
The main warning sign of bladder cancer is painless blood in the urine, called gross hematuria. The blood is often visible but sometimes the tumors don’t produce enough blood to be seen by the patient (microscopic hematuria), and they’re only found through special tests conducted by a doctor.
Feeling pain or burning sometimes when you urinate (pee) could be a sign of bladder cancer. Urgency even without a full bladder. You may feel like you need to urinate right away, even though your bladder is not full. Frequent trips to the toilet. You may need to urinate more often than usual.
Pain. Burning. Frequent urination. Incomplete emptying of the bladder. Passage of tissue fragments in urine (less frequent than other symptoms) The presence of one or all of these signs does not mean you have cancer, but you should be seen by a physician, as these are abnormal bodily functions.
