Blade of the Immortal (無限の住人,, Mugen no Jūnin?) is a Japanese TV anime series based upon a manga series by the same name created by Samura Hiroaki.

It premiered in July 14, 2008 until December 29, 2008 on the AT-X Channel and ran for 13 episodes. The series was directed by Kōichi Mashimo from a screenplay by Hiroyuki Kawasaki, character designs provided by Yoshimitsu Yamashita and a music composed by Kou Otani with a production by studio Bee Train.

Manji is a crass, violent samurai with a special ability: he cannot die. Cursed with immortality by the nun Yobikuni as punishment for his ruthless deeds, he has grown weary of his ageless life. The only way to lift the curse is to slay 1,000 evil men. So Manji wanders Japan, shedding the blood of the wicked on his quest to finally die.
