Branko Lustig (10 June 1932 – 14 November 2019) was a Croatian film producer best known for winning Academy Awards for Best Picture for Schindler's List and Gladiator. He is the only person born in the territory of present-day Croatia to have won two Academy Awards .

As a child, Lustig was imprisoned for more than two years at Auschwitz and later Bergen-Belsen. It was while trying to survive in the former that he witnessed the hanging of seven prisoners.
Branko Lustig was born on June 10, 1932 in Osijek, Croatia, Yugoslavia. He was a production manager and producer, known for Gladiator (2000), Schindler's List (1993) and The Saint (1997). He was married to Mirjana. He died on November 14, 2019 in Zagreb, Croatia.
