I think the entire point of the show is that Chuck is, in fact, a very good spy even without the Intersect. By Season 3 it's show that he's actually a good shot on his own (whether because of natural affinity, practice, Duck Hunt, or retaining some knowledge from the Intersect 2.0).
- "Chuck Versus The Intersect" The pilot episode of Chuck never gets old. Bask in the early days when Sarah and Casey were enemies, Chuck had no idea what he wanted out of life, and the Buy More was still just a big box entertainment store instead of a spy hub.
- "Chuck Versus The Imported Hard Salami" This episode has everything you could possibly want. The first appearance of Rachel Bilson as Lou is priceless, but the part that makes this hour a classic is the intense bomb-diffusing scene that leads to Chuck and Sarah's first kiss.
- "Chuck Versus Tom Sawyer" Few shows have ever understood early '00s geek culture quite like Chuck, and "Chuck Versus Tom Sawyer" illustrates that perfectly.
- "Chuck Versus the Suburbs" Chuck and Sarah go undercover as a married couple in a way too normal not to be evil suburban neighborhood. This hour doesn't make a huge impact on the show's mythology, but it's so much fun to watch thanks to Casey's grumpiness and the couple-y goodness of it all.
