- Minimum 16 years of age to rent kayaks. Children must be at least 3 years old to ride in the kayaks and accompanied by an adult at all times. Must be able to swim. Must sign a Recreational Vehicle & Equipment Rental Agreement.

Kayak Rentals. $30 per solo kayak for 3 hours, weight capacity: 375 lbs. $40 per tandem (double) kayak for three hours, weight capacity: 550 lbs. Available seasonally, usually April to November. No fishing boat rentals.
The beach bathrooms will be under renovation beginning September 11, 2024. Construction might affect access to Lake Rutledge including the boat dock, swimming beach and kayak rentals. Thank you for your patience.

We came to do a short trail and have a picnic before moving on. There is a lot to do. They have a golf course, bike and horse trails, camping, rv camping, beach etc. There are also cottages to rent. We walked the Brantley nature Trail which starts near the putt putt course.

May 16, 2021 · How great. Now we can rent kayaks.. Hard labor is one of the best state parks and we're so lucky to have it right here in Rutledge.
Non-motorized boats, trolling boats and gas boats up to 10 HP are allowed. Boaters must follow GA Boating Regulations regarding life jackets/PFDs. There is a boat ramp with parking area on Lake Rutledge. We do not offer boat rentals, but we do offer paddling rentals such as kayaks.
Oct 6, 2023 · If you don’t have a paddleboard, you can rent one from Over Yonder Outpost in historic Rutledge. I regularly bring my own paddleboard to the lake, and it’s a peaceful location to visit year-round.
