Saul Bloom is a member of the team led by Danny Ocean. In Ocean's 11, Saul's role was to impersonate as an arms dealer, and named himself Lyman Zerga for the job. He was to oversee that his suitcase containing some of the objects to be transported to the vault of the Bellagio for Yen to arm explosives for blowing it up. He later faked an illness to draw the security personnel away from the monitors to allow Livingston to swap in a video tape of the elevator rather than the live recording of Linus in the elevator.
Despite his age, he still was further involved as part of a group impersonating themselves as SWAT Team with some of Rusty's crew that were not in the Bellagio Vault initially, albeit he was struggling slightly to rappel down the elevator shaft. Eventually they made it out of the casino by literally walking out with bags full of money after literally stealing the money right under Terry Benedict's nose.
In Ocean's 12 he is first introduced in a cigar club drinking what appears to be either cognac, brandy or whisky. Saul's identity was revealed to Terry Benedict, and Benedict manages to close all his bank accounts. Saul tries to buy another drink, but the waiter says, that he can't accept his card, saying that your new manager Terry Benedict has closed all your accounts.
When the Ocean's Eleven gather to discuss their situation following their discoveries by Terry Benedict, Saul is initially very reluctant to do the job, saying that he is too old to pull another job. Regardless, Saul joins the Ocean's Twelve for the Faberge-job, since he realized, that he had no money left.
Saul is always pictured as an elderly man with a pair of glasses. He has been known to have a very laid back and relaxed personality.
In Ocean's Eleven, Saul was very nervous, when appearing as Lyman Zerga, given that he was visibly sweating and shaking.
