Dec 20, 2009 · Chic Young Colonel Potterby and the Duchess Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 7-23-61 (King Features Syndicate, 1961). The Colonel pulls a fast one on the Duchess in this whimsical episode. With an image area of 18.75" x 9", the art is, aside from some light soiling, in Very Good condition.
But when cartoonist Chic Young's Blondie debuted in 1930, it did so without a topper. That situation was remedied a few years later, with the addition of Colonel Potterby & the Dutchess. Potterby was a short, chubby, mustachioed, obviously well-to-do guy who resembled Rich Uncle Pennybags.
Vintage Colonel Potterby and The Duchess by Chic Young Comic Strip is in very good condition. It has a copyright date 1937, it has been glued at the corners on a piece paper. Please see pictures for details and ask all questions before you purchase it.
