May 29, 2015 · After falling asleep in the back of a car outside her aunt's home, 16–year–old A.J.L. awoke to discover Clinton Lee McKinney, age 36, repositioning her. Despite her best efforts to fight him off, McKinney sexually assaulted A.J.L.
Dec 17, 2021 · McKinney appealed, and this court affirmed his convictions and sentence. Our Supreme Court denied his petition for review on January 25, 2016. See State v. McKinney, No. 111,254, 2015 WL 3555354 (Kan. App. 2015) (unpublished opinion), rev. denied 303 Kan. 1080 (2016). McKinney timely filed his first pro se K.S.A. 60-1507 motion on January 23, 2017.

Jul 6, 2023 · On July 30, 2023, 47-year old Clinton Thomas McKinney of Williston was arrested after the Williams County Sheriff’s Office investigated a report that a minor had been sexually assaulted.
This past weekend we were honored to host Clinton McKinney's 100th birthday and learn about his incredible story. Clinton served in the U.S. Army in the European Theater during World War II. He was part of the Battle of the Bulge and became a prisoner of war at a German prison camp - and managed to escape three times!
