Sandeep Singh is the final antagonist of Netflix's police procedural series Criminal: UK, serving as the eponymous villain of the season 2 finale "Sandeep". He is a convicted murderer who is interviewed about another murder, only to turn the tables and try to get his sentence reduced.

He was portrayed by Kunal Nayyar.

Sandeep Singh was once a successful businessman who occasionally worked on cruise ships to secure investments from the wealthier passengers. According to himself, Sandeep had "properties dotted all over the South" and different cars for each day of the week. However, his career came to an end after, in a fit of rage, he killed a woman named Samantha West who refused to invest in his business and was sentenced to fourteen years. He was initially sent to HMP Brixton and was transferred to the maximum-security Belmarsh for unknown reasons. During his sentence, Sandeep was briefly suspected of killing a young boy named Alfie Ince but was never interviewed as the police considered him "the wrong kind of psycho".

At the start of the episode, Sandeep is brought to the police station where the series takes place to be interrogated about the disappearance of Annabelle Ashcombe, who he was photographed with at a wedding. Sandeep denies that he killed Annabelle, claiming that he was working with Intrepid Cruises and was on one of their voyages when she disappeared. The police find photos from the cruise with him in them and decide to return him to Belmarsh.

Just before leaving, Sandeep offers to tell the police what happened to Alfie Ince if they can guarantee him a four-year reduction in his sentence. He makes it clear that they must have the paperwork completed within one hour or he won't tell them anything. He also demands a cup of tea.

Once the paperwork is ready, Tony Myerscough and Hugo Duffy interview Sandeep again. Sandeep claims that when he was in Brixton, a fellow inmate named John Buchanan admitted that he had trafficked Alfie to Bulgaria, only to kill him when he tried to escape. Duffy, however, tells Sandeep that he worked the Alfie Ince case and that he noticed one of Sandeep's properties is near where Alfie vanished. Duffy then bluffs that scene-of-crime officers have been sent to the property to search for Alfie's body, and that if he confesses he will get a chance at parole. Sandeep confesses; he really did kill Annabelle Ashcombe because he had refused the job the Intrepid to get an investment from her, only for her to change her mind. Seconds later, Alfie Ince turned up to retrieve a football and Sandeep was forced to kill him too, burying their bodies in his garden. Sandeep then flew to a foreign country and boarded the cruise he had been scheduled to work on, making sure he was in the photographs. Having confessed, Sandeep is returned to his cell and is later charged with the murders.
