A 24/7 crisis hotline can be the first line of defense in preventing these tragedies and an essential part of any continuum of care for mental health crises. Since 2004, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (Lifeline) has been accessible nationwide by dialing 800-273-TALK (8255).
Access Services. OCHN’s Access screening process determines where people’s needs are best met, based on severity and urgency. Screenings can be requested by calling 248-464-6363, or by visiting the Resource and Crisis Center. Walk-in appointments are received on a first-come, first-served basis.

Lifeline Network Crisis Centers. Calls to 988 are routed to the nearest crisis center. Counselors at these centers can then provide appropriate local resources if needed. The Lifeline accepts applications for new centers to join the network on a rolling basis.
