There are bits of recording equipment and pictures and posters of the musicians they admire hung neatly on the walls: Johnny Cash circa 1966, Keith Richards from the early ’70s, the Kinks, etc.

In the process, I met a guy named Doyle “Butch” Primm who became my collaborator, co-writer, co-producer, and husband. We worked on music together, wrote some songs we liked, and, to make a long story short, I signed a deal with Tony Brown at MCA Records in August of 1997.
