Edward Michael Guiney (born February 1966) [1] is an Irish-American film producer and co-founder and co-CEO of film and television production company, Element Pictures. He won a British Academy Film Award and was nominated for four more in the categories Best Film and Outstanding British Film for the films The Favourite, The Wonder and Poor Things.
Element Pictures was founded in 2001 by Ed Guiney and Andrew Lowe. [3] [4] The company often co-produces with or arranges funding from Irish governmental organizations such as Screen Ireland , as well as from BBC Film and Film4 in the United Kingdom and US companies A24 and Searchlight Pictures .
