Edge of Darkness was formerly the most expensive edition of Escape from Tarkov, but its disappearance from the store has left many players wondering what exactly happened to it. These aren't big advantages IMO. The bigger stash just allows you to be lazy and avoid organizing and the gamma gives you a couple extra spaces to keep items safe. If you want to talk about huge advantages, I would argue that the new years gift is the largest advantage anyone gets.

Its worth it if you really enjoy playing tarkov. My recommendation is if you’re new, play one wipe first on standard. If you enjoy the game you can think about upgrading to EOD (which is at a reduced cost as opposed to buying EOD to begin with).

Jun 1, 2022 · Edge of Darkness is the ultimate edition of Escape from Tarkov that gives players the biggest stash size (10x68), a gamma container (3x3), vastly better starting gear, a good starting reputation for all Traders, and free access to all subsequent DLCs .
Call me old-fashioned, but I just can’t bring myself to pay $100 for in-game advantages and pre-orders out of principle. However, if your goal is to progress faster in Tarkov, EOD will be worth your money— for people with limited time to play, I can see how that is especially attractive.
