Elizabeth Blount, commonly known as Bessie, was a lady-in waiting of Catherine of Aragon, the mistress of Henry VIII and the mother of Henry FitzRoy. Bessie is first seen in the first episode of the series, "In Cold Blood", and we see very clearly that; she is Henry's mistress.
Her death occurred either in late 1539 or early 1540, and was apparently due to consumption or tuberculosis. Gentility: Daughter of Sir John Blount and Catherine Pershall. Position: Maid of honor to Queen Katherine of Aragon, lady in waiting to Anne of Cleves.
After her marriage, Blount does not figure much in the day-to-day affairs of the Tudor monarchy or in the official records.
