     The Build Tools for Visual Studio 2022 are available for download. You can find them on the visual studio downloads site. Just expand the "Tools for Visual Studio" chevron, and you'll find the build tools download.

     The only official variant of Linpack that can be used for TOP500 comparison is HPL - high performance linpack.

     Do you really need some code "free for commercial use?" or you can use GPL/BSD code?

     There are some good linear algebras libraries BLAS (on which HPL depends to get the high performance), e.g. ATLAS, GOTOBlas. They come with source code.

     The quickest, simplest case for a one file program is to create a tasks.json in the folder you have opened that looks like this:

     (Of course you'd need to change the file from TestFile.cpp to whatever other file or files you may have)

     Then run "Developer Command Prompt for VS 2017". From that command window run code.exe. In VS Code, press Ctrl-Shift-B. The file should be compiled successfully. There is obviously much more that could be done here. For example, if the folder you have open contains an msbuild project, you could just change "command" to "msbuild" and "args" to "myproject.vcxproj". The key here is that you need to run code from within the developer command-prompt to inherit the Build Tools environment.

     If you want to scale your font size to your whole display, you would need to retrieve your display properties, so you can change the font width and height relative to the display width and height.

     Since you are using the Windows API, I used functions included in Windows.h. You can only choose one of your displays at a time tho.

     You specify the display with SDL_GetCurrentDisplayMode(displayIndex, displayMode).

     You might need to #include <cmath> to use std::round() depending on environment.

     You might wanna check, if your active monitor has changed in your game loop and resize everything again. So i would recommend putting all the code for retrieving width and height and resizing the font in its own function and call it in your loop whenever your active monitor (where your console is located in) changes.

     DO NOTE that you can zoom in the font with CTRL+Mouse wheel.
