“ That’s our brother. He wants to eat us.”

    — Andy Pesto to Tina Belcher

A documentary film profiling world class archer Louise Belcher is interrupted by unexpected visitors.

"Fraud of the Dead: Zombie-docu-pocalypse" begins as a documentary of Louise, the "9-year-old archer." It starts with her doing a slow-motion walk behind Bob's Burgers alley. Tina acts as the narrator, setting up the film by revealing how she discovered the 'renowned' archer after watching some of Louise's videos online. Tina adds that Louise's most-viewed video has her executing "The Off-the-Wall Fliparoo How-Do-You-Do," where Louise runs up against the restaurant's bathroom door and walks vertically for a split second. In the brief moment she's airborne, Louise fires an arrow at a cup on the soft serve machine into a dishpan on the counter and shoots another one at the dishpan, causing the dishpan to slide until it lands into the arms of Linda Belcher.

Tina transitions to the restaurant's exterior to review Louise's background, discussing how she works at Bob's Burgers, a "dingy diner in a shabby seaside town." Tina explains how the purpose of the documentary is to learn more about Louise's background and to see how her aim is so incredible. Tina insistently adds that she and the rest of the documentary crew (Gene) are unrelated to Louise because she's an only child. The film cuts inside the restaurant, with Louise marrying the bottles of ketchup and mustards in a booth and Bob and Linda cleaning the place in the background. Louise tells the camera she's "just a girl whose family runs a weird-smelling burger restaurant." She explains how her parents bought the archery set she carries for her as a present. Tina's camera gets commentary from Bob and Linda: Bob tells Tina that he told Louise not to shoot it in the apartment or the restaurant, and he doesn't know why his family's not enforcing the rule; Linda conveys she feels the exact opposite way as her husband--she encourages Louise's archery. The camera goes back to Louise, and Louise tells Tina that she's been shooting arrows for at least a month already. Tina lets out a "wow" in admiration, but she looks at Gene's camera, who's recording Tina recording her documentary for his "stalk-u-dock-rockmentary." She tells Gene to cut that wow out and utilize the other one she reiterates. Louise ignores what's going on and tells Tina that her bow's name is "Greta Gar-bow," but Tina tells the archer she has introduced her bow multiple times already. Louise suggests doing another slow-motion walk, which is another thing Tina already has so much footage of. Tina rushes Louise along to get some of Louise's arrow-shooting action on her camera, adding that she's been filming Louise for three days now. Louise tries coming up with excuses not to shoot her bow, telling Tina to use the footage already online and that her hand is sore from doing homework last night, but Linda cuts in and expresses that that's not true.

Their film gets interrupted when Teddy starts banging on the door. Gene's camera shows Teddy with ghoulish green makeup and body paint, acting like a zombie. Bob tells Teddy that the restaurant's closed, and in a quieter tone, he asks his family if he looks different than usual. Teddy keeps banging on the door without saying a word, creeping Tina, Gene, and the Belchers (since Tina and Gene are absolutely unrelated to them) out. Mort comes from his place to tell Teddy that the restaurant's closed, but Teddy begins devouring Mort's shoulder. Tina claims she believes Teddy's a zombie and sees other zombies. Gene points his camera to two other undead people coming to the restaurant (it's just Bob and Linda with the same green bodypaint as Teddy, acting as different characters, but Bob is wearing his trucker jacket, a messy shoulder-length wig, and his old trucker hat, and Linda is wearing a nightgown and an old lady wig). Tina starts panicking, but she and Gene become assured when they realize they have Louise, one of the best archers in the world. However, Louise appears to be in a daze and worried about the zombies. She distracts the camera crew from her unease by suggesting cutting the cameras so they can all focus on surviving the zombie apocalypse. Still, Tina believes this is the best scenario to turn their boring documentary (with just slow-motion shots of Louise walking and her introducing her bow) into an eventful one with Louise shooting arrows at the zombies. Gene shows that Mort has already become a zombie, and Teddy and Mort begin hitting the windowpane, trying to break through. Gene enjoys the sounds their banging makes and starts beatboxing to it.

Tina, Gene, and the Belchers take apart everything in the restaurant, from tables to doors, to barricade themselves from the zombies. After thoroughly covering the front, they believe the zombies have already left. They start making a plan B if the undead manages to break in. Tina and Gene believe Louise will still be able to protect them, but Louise keeps deflecting. However, they hear Regular Sized Rudy, Andy, and Ollie banging on the front, asking the Belchers to let them in since they've been running away from the zombies. Louise tells them to run to the backdoor, and they let them in. Before they lock the door, they see zombie Jimmy Jr. dance-stumbling towards them. Rudy sits at one of the booths (with the tabletop pried off), panicking as Louise tries to comfort him. Linda comes out of the restaurant with a burger for Gene. Gene puts down his camera to eat the meal, but his camera records Andy and Ollie in the bathroom, with Andy telling Ollie that he got bit by a zombie. They promise each other that if Andy turns into a zombie, he must bite Ollie first, so they both become zombies. Everyone's moment of peace gets interrupted as zombie Teddy, Mort, and Jimmy Jr. break through the barricade. Bob and Linda try holding them off as Louise, Rudy, and the Pesto twins go into the basement to hide. Tina tells Gene to follow them.

The kids grab everything in the basement, from toilet paper rolls to pickle jars, to block the zombies from coming down. However, Andy can barely help with his (now apparent) zombie bite on his right shoulder and staggering movement. Ollie asks if it's because of his zombie bite, and Louise and Rudy overhear this. However, it's too late, and Andy turns into a zombie (cutting out the part where Andy has to put on his zombie makeup). Gene, Louise, and Rudy rush upstairs as Ollie stays to let zombie Andy eat him.

Bob and Linda are still holding the barricade with all of the strength. Louise informs her parents of the situation. Tina tells Louise to fire her arrows at the zombies, but Louise is still stubborn. She and Rudy begin throwing condiments instead, and after throwing mustard at zombie Jimmy Jr. and seeing him collapse, they realize that the weakness of zombies is mustard. However, it doesn't help, as too many zombies already exist. Bob and Linda tell the kids to escape through the backdoor and climb up the fire escape on the dumpster to get into the apartment. Louise's parents promise to meet them there as she, Tina, Gene, and Rudy run for it.
