One-Time Payment is a temporary account to pay bridge tolls for a specific period of time. It can only be used to pay a toll if you crossed a bridge in the last 48 hours or to pay future tolls up to 30 days in advance.
Historical toll rates. Golden Gate Bridge at sunset. When the Golden Gate Bridge opened in 1937, the toll was 50 cents per car (equivalent to $10.6 in 2023), collected in each direction. In 1950 it was reduced to 40 cents each way ($5.07 in 2023), then lowered to 25 cents in 1955 ($2.84 in 2023).
