The Gross Anatomy Laboratory is located on the second floor of Ross Hall and is directed and operated by the School of Medicine and Health Sciences Office of the Dean. It is approximately 4800 square feet, with space to accommodate 200 people comfortably.

Gross Anatomy Lab. P. Stanley Spurgeon, MD, assistant professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine, demonstrates a lumbar puncture (spinal tap) for second-year students in a medical problems course. This lab supports anatomy instruction with 32 dissection tables and onsite specimen storage.

The following safety procedures are in place to prevent injuries and limit exposure to chemicals: Students must wear long pants and closed shoes whenever they are in the laboratory. Open-toed or perforated shoes (e.g., sandals), shorts and skirts are not to be worn in the anatomy lab.
