The Hamilton Ghost Town Scenic Drive is a gorgeous high-elevation drive to the ghost town of Hamilton. The drive provides sweeping views of the Mokomoke Mountains, Mt. Hamilton, the White Pine Range, and numerous mountain ranges and valleys located far away in the distance.
The Lincoln Highway went to Hamilton as late as 1913, but by 1924, the town was bypassed. [5] The Hamilton post office closed in 1931. [4] Hamilton is now a ghost town, with only scattered ruins remaining at the site.

Hamilton is one of the better ghost towns in Nevada. It is located off the beaten path and worth a visit for those looking for an alternative to the more touristic ruins. The road is not well-signed, so it is best to have a map or GPS with forks noted before making the drive in.
