Dec 17, 2023 · The car from “Hardcastle and McCormick,” known as the Coyote X, was a kit car based on the McLaren M6GT. After the show ended, the original cars used in the series were sold at auction.
This is a rare vintage 1983 ERTL Hardcastle and McCormick diecast Coyote X in 1:16 scale with box and loose figure of Mark McCormick. This is marked as #3581 on the box. The box is in good condition, but the car and the figure are loose.

The star car on this show was a Manta Montage. First season just a professionally built Manta kit car with some mods and the second season they made up a larger version based on the De lorean for the actor to get in and out easier.
The car that McCormick drove, the Coyote X, was built from custom molds based on the McLaren M6GT. The original Coyote X was molded, modified and assembled by Mike Fennel.
