  2. The Hasso Plattner Institute of Design at Stanford University (commonly known as d.school) is a design thinking institute based at Stanford University. [1] The school is named after SAP co-founder Hasso Plattner and was founded by David M. Kelley and Bernard Roth founded the program in 2004.

    • Two-thirds of past participants bring a new product, service, or experience to market within 36 months.

  4. At the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design (the “d.school”) we challenge students to tackle some of the world’s most urgent problems. We work with nonprofit, corporate and public entities to develop projects that address real‐world problems.

  5. Two types of faculty come together at the d.school: academic faculty from all seven schools at Stanford, and adjunct faculty who are experts in design or the particular problem space that is the focus of a class.
