I found Midnight Oil through Todd in the Shadows's One Hit Wonderland episode on them. Not Australian, but they really struck a chord with me. Being so upbeat yet so politically charged makes them sound so unique, even though I'm not always knowledgeable on the subject matter. Their melodies and baselines are infectious as hell.
