Craft the Solar Eruption at the crafting table acquired from the cultist. Make a skybridge if you haven't already made one. 100 blocks wide is plenty. Start the martian invasion. Go to your skybridge, and grapple underneath it. Use a summon minion (Stardust dragon is best) and the Solar Eruption to kill the saucer. Profit.

for a slight addendum, the falling sparks can easily disrupt this strategy. so, unfortunately, this isn't foolproof or 100% consistent. my best workaround is to equip a knockback-immunity item, and just hope you only get hit by one or two sparks, if any.
