Jan 28, 2008 · I replace my C6 shifter with a new MGW shifter on Saturday. MGW has a long history but just recently entered the Corvette world. The MGW comes in 25% and 35% shorter throw than the C6 shifter. You do the math to figure out how much shorter that makes it to the C5.
Apr 24, 2012 · The MGW makes a great first impression. The quality is apparent as soon as you unwrap it, and I have not seen another shifter built so well. It is literally a work of art. As for function, it does function very well, but when you get in the 5-6 turn range it does get notchy.

Nov 11, 2008 · Install was done within an hour. When you remove the old shifter and put it up to the MGW, you really see the difference in a big way. The MGW shifter is completely re engineered and does not share ANY design similarities with the stock unit as many of the other shifters on the market do.
Oct 16, 2009 · First impression: wow!!! It's so stiff and firm. Makes the OEM feels like a wet noodle! It almost makes the car feel faster as one can shift faster. It does require quite a bit of effort to shift: it does shift well and it is very precise but it's a shifter for men! Here are the not so good:
Aug 14, 2023 · There have been reported issues with the 1-2 shift / reverse lock out adjustment. The procedure is in the install video (29:52) as well a separate video on the product page so that tells you how much MGW wants this point stressed.
