Shifts felt the same at 2500 rpm and 7000 rpm, and the resistance that the OEM shifter exhibits when shifted at high rpm was gone. Shifts feel like you're pulling the shifter into each gear.

The MGW's materials are so fine its a shame to cover them with the boot, the unit is made out of teflon impregnated aluminum or sumn.
Jan 28, 2008 · C5 General - MGW Shifter install and review - I replace my C6 shifter with a new MGW shifter on Saturday. MGW has a long history but just recently entered the Corvette world. The MGW comes in 25% and 35% shorter throw than the C6 shifter. You do the math to figure out how much shorter that makes it to the C5.

So for those with '11+ cars on the fence reading this, if you can find someone to rebuild your stock shifter with some stiffer bushings, save that $350 and go that route instead.
