Established in 2006, Yahoo Video is a video hosting service with all kinds of videos. However, unlike most other video sharing sites, it lacks simplicity. And when you sign up for Yahoo Video, you are signing up not just for the free video-sharing service but also for a full Yahoo profile.
Removing the ability to upload videos and changing it into a purer video-on-demand service, the Yahoo Video site became a portal for featured video content hosted on Yahoo’s website.
Nevertheless, you can still upload videos to Yahoo via Flickr. Each video can only be up to 1GB in size and should be playable for only three minutes. The supported video file types include MP4, AVI, WMV, MOV, MPEG, 3GP, M2TS, OGG and OGV.
Open your web browser and visit the Flickr website.
To fill in your personal information to sign up for Flickr.
Then enter your Email address and password to log in to Flickr.
Click the Upload icon on the top right corner next to the search box.
To share a video on Yahoo Video, you can click the Share by email link at the bottom left of the player to email the video to your friends, or you can click Send via IM to send the video link in an instant message.
You can also click Save to del.icio.us and enter your login information to save the video to Delicious. Of course, you can copy and paste the video address into the box marked Add to site to embed the video on another website.
Go to yahoo.com and find the video you’d like to download. Then copy the video URL from the address bar.
Open Keepvid, paste the video URL in the blank box and then hit GO.
Select the video resolution you need, and click the Download button to start downloading the Yahoo video.
Search Flash Video Downloader in your browser and click Add to Chrome > Add extension.
Go to yahoo.com and look for the video you want to download.
Click on the video and play it, and then you will see the Flash Video Downloader icon turns blue.
