Eric Martin (Mr. Big) is an incredible vocalist. This song exudes 80s fun. Not too hard, not too soft, not quite a power ballad, it's got a Feelgood Fiasco vibe. Not exactly Walking on Sunshine. Yet still, Katrina and the Waves come in hot with a blues bar grinder. They totally Slave to the Grindthis song compared to Walking on Sunshine. To "Slave to the Grind" something is to follow it up MUCH harder the second time.
